Some operatives favor subtlety over grandiose pistol-waving intimidation. Spies use their training to blend in with a crowd, sneaking up quietly on targets to accomplish their missions. As they are often on their own, Spies have a rudimentary knowledge of first aid to keep themselves alive.

  • Smoke Bomb – area effect that allows you to blind your enemies during escape

Innate Spy Specials[]

These are the skills and techniques that a Spy of level 90 will obtain. There are various enhancements that can be made to these specials through the use of expertise, but all Spies will have these base attacks and specials to work with. Also shown is the combat level at which the Spy receives the highest rank ability.

Attacks[]

[[1]] Special Description
86 [[2]] A powerful melee attack from stealth that causes a very large increase in damage and applies a bleed DoT to the target. Ambush also applies a brief 50% heal debuff to the target.
70 [Web|Arachnes Web] This attack applies poison and slows the movement speed of the target.
90 [[3]] A powerful attack that deals extra damage
84 [Burst|Blaster Burst] A powerful ranged attack that causes a large increase in damage and applies a debuff to the target increasing damage received by 2% and damage received from Blaster Burst/Razor Slash by 20% per application. This debuff can be stacked up to 5 times.
84 [Slash|Razor Slash] A powerful melee attack that causes a large increase in damage and applies a debuff to the target increasing damage received by 2% and damage received from Blaster Burst/Razor Slash by 20% per application. This debuff can be stacked up to 5 times.
86 [[4]] A powerful ranged attack from stealth that causes a large increase in damage and applies a heat DoT to the target. Snipe also applies a brief 50% heal debuff to the target.
88 [Fang|Spys Fang] This ability allows a spy to cause extra acid damage over time to the target. This DoT can be stacked up to 6 times.
74 [Ploy|Venomous Ploy] A trap that explodes with a toxic cloud, causing poison damage over time to all enemies nearby.

90 [Device|Conceal Device] This ability allows you to hide concealable devices such as traps from view. No one will see the device but you
90 [Device|Neutralize Device] This ability allows you to make an attempt to neutralize a hostile device such as a trap or mine. If unsuccessful, you will likely suffer grave injury.
14 [[6]] This ability allows you to relieve a humanoid of some of their belongings.

86 [Recovery|Cloaked Recovery] A healing ability used to recover a small amount of health while stealthed
82 [Respite|Spys Respite] A healing ability used to recover a small amount of health

Buffs/Debuffs[]

34 [Damage|Avoid Damage] This ability grants the spy an increased chance to dodge direct attacks and evade AOE's for 15 seconds.
26 [or Flight|Fight or Flight] Action regeneration is increased for a short period. Also modifies movemement speed by 1%
62 [Bang|Flash Bang] A trap that explodes with a bright flash, disorienting nearby enemies preventing them from executing most commands.

Cloaks[]

30 [[10]] This ability creates a decoy that will draw attacks away from the spy.
7 [Bomb|Smoke Bomb] This ability can allow the spy to escape from combat and hide from enemies.

Expertise Enhanced Spy Specials[]

As with other professions, the Spy has many options when it comes to allocating points into the expertise trees. Here is the breakdown of how those points will affect the Spy's abilities in combat.

Basic Abilities[]

Special Effect
[Shadows (expertise)|Reveal Shadows] This ability will attempt to reveal all hidden targets in the vicinity of the spy.

Healing[]

Special Effect
[Its Course (expertise)|Run It's Course] This ability removes all poison, bleed, and disease DoT effects from the spy and makes the spy immune to further DoT application for the duration at the cost of applying instantly 80% of potential remaining damage of DoT. May instantly incapacitate user if applied damage exceeds health at time of activation.

Buffs/Debuffs[]

Special Effect
[of Shadows (expertise)|Burst of Shadows] Burst of speed requiring spy to be cloacked to activate it.
[(expertise)|Preparation] This ability grants a short damage increase buff for a burst of damage output.
[Setup (expertise)|Shifty Setup] This ability allows the spy to prepare for a single strike against a target. The buff decreases the target's chance to dodge, block, parry, or be glancing blowed by 20% and decreases you chance to critical hit or strike-through by 20%. It is removed after using 1 ability.
[and Mirrors (expertise)|Smoke and Mirrors] Allows the use of stealth only abilities while active.
